At the meeting point between the Caribbean Sea and the Magdalena River, entering the plains and through the mountain ranges, lies the community of Aracataca, the birthplace of the great Gabriel García Márquez and this chocolate. The picturesque community, with its colonial structures and tiny bridges, embodies the spirit of magical realism.

We walked through the abundant landscape to reach the community of Aracataca. Here, we founded the Macondo Cacao School to help farmers preserve an ancient tradition and strengthen local production.

The heritage cocoa varieties are distinguished by their unparalleled taste. Passed down through generations, these cocoa beans are infused with the uniqueness and abundant heritage of the people who cultivate the cocoa trees.
